What the role is
In this Software Engineering Team Lead role, you will be an integral part of the engineering team, responsible for leading and growing a group of talented engineers, and be in the front lines of scaling our web application. By partnering closely with product managers, you will balance “having your hands on the keyboard” with leading design discussions for large projects and informing some of our largest decisions for your team.
You will also recommend ways to improve our current technical processes and design your own technical processes that will result in a well-oiled machine of an engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for some of the most critical parts of Drizly’s customer base like our web and app shopping experiences.
In this role you will:
- Participate in technical design and architecture discussions with the team
- Write well tested, performant code and participate in code reviews with the team
- Provide technical guidance to more junior team members
- Work with the engineering organization to level up technical processes, code quality, and system design
- Consult with the business on the feasibility and/or level of effort required for certain projects
