Who you are
You are a Senior Strategic Partnerships Account Manager with a strategic mindset and the ability to lead business planning with both internal and external stakeholders. You are a champion for your customers, but balance that with what is in the best interest of the business. You are also an obsessively organized planner known across teams, partners, and agencies for keeping planning and progress on track. You instill trust and operate with integrity. This also means that you are a pro at communicating effectively. You always have a well-thought out plan and strategy, but are nimble and agile, comfortable with consistently iterating to test new ideas, and making partners excited and comfortable along the way.
You have a proven track record of managing external stakeholders and 5+ years of brand side or marketplace account management experience with 8+ years of total work experience, perhaps with some sales experience, as well.
What the role is
In the Senior Strategic Partnerships Account Manager role, you will be an integral part of the Strategic Partnerships team, responsible for building future business plans with existing partnerships and forging new relationships through strategic discussions and negotiations. On a day-to-day basis you will work directly with the biggest brands within the BevAlc industry, making recommendations for success on and off Drizly, and building trust beyond their eCommerce teams. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue through partnerships.
You’ll be responsible for leading quarterly business reviews, joint business planning, and working with our Account Managers to exceed the expectations of our partnerships and of Drizly. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to drive forward Drizly initiatives with partners beyond on-platform programming, and will be in the virtual room with leaders in the space. The person in this role will change how we do things today and we’ll be all the better for it. This team is supporting one of Drizly’s most strategic priorities and will have a direct impact on our revenue.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the strategic and business relationships with the biggest brands in the BevAlc industry
- Create joint business plans with partners, with a focus on continued up-sell and innovation
- Partner with cross-functional teams to create new opportunities for partners, and to push the industry forward
- Leverage your understanding of supplier partners in team settings and broader team discussion and use your expertise as a lens in discussion and strategic planning
- Build trusting relationships with supplier partners through communication (email, phone, in-person/video) in order to drive mutual goals forward (suppliers and Drizly)
