Who you are

You are a strong and passionate technology leader with experience scaling companies from start-up to mature (possibly IPO-ready). You’re a natural leader who can drive results and build a culture of engineering rigor that promotes better overall engineering products with less downtime and refactoring. You drive vision and purpose by cultivating innovation that supports the company’s existing and new business goals.  You thrive in an environment with complexity and ambiguity, have strong cross-functional communication, and can partner with various teams, both internally and externally, to deliver top-notch technology solutions and products. Furthermore, you are passionate about building a platform that drives top line revenue growth, conversion, loyalty and overall satisfaction across various customer groups.

What the role is

In Drizly’s CTO role, you will be responsible for setting the technology vision, strategy and roadmap to deliver on the larger company mission and strengthen Drizly’s competitive advantage; building and leading a high performing team with diverse skill sets and perspectives; and engaging and inspiring both internal and external parties. This leader will have an incredible passion for technology and also be customer-first, understanding the nuances of serving 3 different customer groups via our technology products – consumers, retailers, and suppliers / distributors. Experience in B2B2C and Direct to Consumer commerce would be highly valuable. In this role, you will help build a sound business case with clear ROI to make technology investments and determine opportunities to buy, build, or partner to accelerate delivering Drizly’s vision.

You will need to be able to train and mentor teams around new and emerging technologies while also helping devise scalable, high performance solutions. You are known to be a thought leader in this space and get energized by playing a larger leadership role within Drizly. You will partner closely with many people in Drizly including our Chief Security Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Product, Head of Analytics, Head of Strategic Partnerships, and Head of Retailer Strategy, Business Development and Operations to define breakthrough technology solutions.

In this role you will:

  • Set the long-term tech vision and strategy to deliver on Drizly’s mission and goals across all customer groups, ie. consumer, retailer, and supplier/distributors
  • Define organization evolution and lead successful scaling of our technology team to deliver on our vision and goals
  • Build a longer-term tech roadmap including next gen architecture to support rapid growth and new business capabilities and products
  • Deliver positive customer impact through innovative technology solutions
  • Have experience with eCommerce, marketplaces and/or platforms
