Who you are
You are a killer designer and a creative visionary. You have experience developing original creative and design concepts, marketing campaigns, and materials that produce impactful results. You are a strategic thinker and insist on understanding both the context for the business and the mindset of the customer before you kick any project off. You think big picture and know how to manage complex creative projects, directing work and collaborating with stakeholders and partners to get it done.
You know how to manage creatives and are passionate about developing the talents of your team. You live and breathe design and it’s important to you to be on the ground, doing the work, too. You consistently push the bounds – always innovating, keeping a pulse on the latest marketing and cultural trends, and challenging your team to think differently. You value the power of brand and want to be a part of building the next big brand in tech and beverage alcohol. Oh, and your friends (or your mom) think you’ve got a great sense of humor.
You have a proven track record of great design and 2+ years of direct management experience. You are a pro with the full Adobe Creative Suite. You’re a seasoned digital designer, with experience creating for social, email, and digital platforms. You’ve worked with both B2C and B2B brands. We’d be super impressed if you have HTML/CSS, UI/UX, and/or video editing experience.
What the role is
In the Associate Creative Director, Design role, you will be responsible for leading the creative strategy and team at Drizly. You will support the Director of Brand in building a fun, irreverent, helpful brand that our customers love. You will be a player-coach, leading the team to execute impactful creative work and designing creative that produces results. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to partner with teams across the company and at some of the biggest beverage alcohol brands in the world.
This is an exciting opportunity (at least we think) to play a key role in building out the creative team at a growing organization.
In this role you will:
- Lead the evolution of the Drizly brand, with a specialized focus on brand identity and visuals lPartner closely with the brand and project managers to develop marketing campaigns, concepts, and design solutions that meet business objectives
- Develop and manage a creative team of designers and copywriters, cultivating their talents and ensuring a high-performing and engaged team
- Drive the creative services function of the team, partnering with both internal and external partners to develop concepts and creative marketing solutions that drive results
- Design and lead creative for video, traditional marketing, social, digital, and anything else you dream up
- Identify opportunities to evolve the way we work with partners from a creative perspective
- Oversee video and/or creative production partners and any freelancers as necessary
- Stay fiercely on top of the latest cultural trends to deliver impactful and timely creative
