Info Session: Return-to-Work In Tech with reacHIRE & Google
Wednesday, August 14 @ 4:30 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Thinking about what it might be like to return-to-work? Unsure how to go about it?
reacHIRE would love to meet you at this informal event where you can talk to our team about your potential journey back into the workforce and hear about the supportive environment of a reacHIRE return-to-work program.
It’s our goal to give high-potential, non-traditional candidates the opportunity to learn and grow at companies like Google (while getting paid!) and we would love to get to know you and understand your unique journey!
- Mingle with Google Engineers & reacHIRE’s talent team
- Hear from reacHIRE’s CEO, Addie Swartz on the return-to-work experience
- Listen in as a panel of Google Engineers discuss life at Google Cambridge
- Network with other individuals who are going through a similar transition as you!
We will be covering details of our 9-month paid return-to-work program at Google Cambridge where those with a love of coding can have the chance to on-ramp in a 360-degree support environment with training professionals to help every step of the way!
If you are interested in applying to the program ahead of time you can do so here: https://jobs.lever.co/reachire/97b16792-5ff4-490c-b48f-bb7221346a97
Are there ID requirements to enter the event?
You will be required to show a valid photo ID matching your event registration to enter the event.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The event will be located at Google’s office within the Kendall Center. Entrance 5CC at 355 Main Street Cambridge, MA 02142.
We recommend taking the Red Line train to Kendall Station, and walk out of the exit labeled “Kendall/MIT – Main St, Buses, Cambridge Center.” Head west on Main St toward Dock St; the entrance will be on your right. (Although currently under renovation and surrounded by construction, the entrance is still open.)
There is no on-street parking. The Kendall Center has three garages where you can pay to park, we are not able to provide parking validation; Green Garage has entrances on Broadway and Ames St, Blue Garage has entrances on Broadway and Binney St and Yellow Garage with an entrance on Ames Place. There are several other parking lots within walking distance to the Kendall Center. The app SpotHero can be useful to secure a spot ahead of time.
Once inside please head to reception where you will be required to show a photo ID and your event ticket to enter the building. If you have not registered for the event, and do not have your own ticket, you will not be permitted into the building.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please send an email to email@example.com.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?
No. Each person must register with their first and last name and match their photo ID to enter the event.
