Please join us and the Boston DevOps community for our inaugural Boston OPEN. OPEN is a global series of professional development and hands-on-training events for the open source community. Rather than death by powerpoint, we provide cutting edge thought-leadership and on-the-spot training to give you the skills you need in today’s fast moving environment.

We are excited to welcome our two presenters Asaf Yigal, Logz.io co-founder and Emanuel Peri, Production Team Lead. Asaf will start by walking you through the importance of telemetry for gaining visibility into Kubernetes environments, and Emanuel will follow with a hands-on-training on achieving observability with open source tools

Title: Designing an open source observability stack for Kubernetes

Observability teams today are facing increasing challenges in achieving visibility into the systems they monitor. Kubernetes adds significant complexity to achieving this goal. Open source provides powerful options and comes with serious advantages in cost, agility, and speed. Join us to learn how you can gain observability into Kubernetes projects with open source tools. He’ll review:

  • OSS telemetry tools for Kubernetes
  • How to deploy these for monitoring, logging, and tracing within AWS
  • The importance of security and how to add it to your observability stack
