Be Your Best Brand: Crafting a Narrative for Investors and the Marketplace

Tuesday, February 11 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

RSVP / Register

Are your actions, communications, and ideas on-brand for your marketplace and future investors?

When you’re first building a company, it can be incredibly difficult to break through the noise. This is why branding is so important. It not only helps customers find you, but it helps differentiate your value proposition from the competition. Thus providing you with a competitive advantage and showing investors why your startup is worth their time – and money.

Elyse Winer is a highly accomplished marketing leader and brand builder. Named Forbes “30 Under 30” in Marketing and Advertising, she currently serves as Marketing Partner for VC firm Material Impact, working with the fund’s portfolio companies (spanning from water tech to robotics to healthcare) to help determine the best story for the marketplace. Before joining this VC firm, headquartered in Boston, Elyse was the VP of Marketing at Lose It!, a consumer app that has been downloaded by over 30 million people around the world.

In this presentation, Elyse will hold up a mirror to your brand. You’ll have the opportunity to practice storytelling that builds credibility, inspires confidence, and establishes a narrative that sells.

In short: are your actions, communications, and ideas on-brand for your marketplace and future investors?

How do I get there and is parking provided?

CIC Boston is located right near South Station. We strongly suggest taking the T in, as parking is very difficult in this area (and will not be provided).

Will food and drinks be served?

No. We recommend either eating before – or bringing snacks and drinks with you!

This is a Startup Boston event.

Startup Boston is strengthening Boston innovation by educating, connecting, and celebrating entrepreneurs. Created by the community, for the community, we create events rooted in the development and celebration of people who are pushing boundaries, solving tough problems, and asking everyday – how might we do this better? Our events are designed to be a platform through which Boston’s innovators can learn from and challenge one another, build new partnerships, strengthen ties, and celebrate both failure and growth.

Thank you for our event partner!
